Conversas Sem Filtro - Silver Spoon

- What took you to create the Silver Spoon concept?

Tiffany Ng - There was a lack of variety and affordability in Copenhagen in 2009 (and really even now) for options to dine out. When I realized no one else was doing anything to solve the problem, I thought to do it on a hobby level for my friends and network. It has of course grown from there.

- How does the idea for each concept comes up?

Tiffany Ng - There is no one way that a concept develops. As we say, it is very iterative. The concept also informs and impacts the venue, menu, sound, decor, etc as much as some of those elements shape the concept. What we have pursued recently are topics that are relevant today and a topic of discussion in the local market.

- Of all the places where these "guerilla dinning" were already held, what was the most surprising, not only by the theme, but above all by experience?

Tiffany Ng - We are always growing and improving, and I think the recent one, The Dirty Model Edition, was held in a breathtaking location that allowed for the concept to really show through as well. Of course, I would like to think that our upcoming one this week will top that.

- You’ve already passed through several places but lately you’ve been more in Lisbon. Do you think the Lisbon public is more open to these experiences?

Tiffany Ng - There are many considerations that affect whether we are able to host a Silver.Spoon experience. As we create more elaborate productions, having a strong team is crucial to our ability to execute at a high level. We know we have that in Lisbon. We are working on possibilities to reopen activities in Porto, but that will take us some time. The Lisbon public are open to the ideas, yes. We still have a long way to go regarding awareness so that even more people know about us and have the ability to attend.

- In a small sentence describe the Silver Spoon experience.

Tiffany Ng - A Silver.Spoon experience is never the same twice and is all around unexpected
